What we support
GLOBE GO GREEN donates half of the entrance revenue to charity and aid organisations that do work based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We help locally, nationally and internationally.
In 2020 we wish to support:
- The Danish Refugee Council
- SOS Children’s Villages Denmark
- Word Wildlife Fund
- Soroptimist International Danmark
- Plant et Træ (Plant a Tree)
Certifications and criteria
We define sustainability as the Gro Harlem Brundtland report did in 1986:
“SUSTAINABILE DEVELOPMENT IS A DEVELOPMENT THAT
MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE PRESENT WITHOUT
COMPROMISING THE ABILITY OF FUTURE GENERATIONS
TO MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS.“
Our exhibitors must have a clear goal of producing and providing services as sustainably as possible. It is important that this is part of the business’ DNA and that they continuously work towards developing and optimising, so that they become as sustainable as possible as quickly possible.
We appreciate certifications and on this site we will regularly inform and educate about the certifications that exist and how they help to create a better environment, work conditions and climate.
Certifications are not an absolute must to become an exhibitor. Certifications are expensive and for small businesses it can be impossible to find financial leeway to acquire them. However, if the business can account for their supply chain and how the business work with sustainability, they can qualify as exhibitor.
We appreciate the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals and would like for the businesses to show how they work with the goals. And thereby, how they help further the goals.
In general exhibitors must show responsibility in regards to what they produce or provide, so that people, animals and soil is not exploited.
Below you can read more about how the different certifications secure, that businesses produce as sustainably as possible, so as to harm climate, environment and the people that consume the products as little as possible. We are not our selves certified, but one of our goals is so clear the fog that surround these logos. What do they mean? And how do you use them? Therefore, we encourage you to visit the websites of each of the organisations below, so that you can get informed on what is best for you and the globe we inhabit.
Sales of Fair Shares open 15/11-2019
Exhibitors are announced 04/01-2020
GLOBE GO GREEN consist of a small group of people that wants to DO MORE BETTER.
We are consumers like everybody else and have no grounds to preach or “point fingers”.
We are driven by the belief that EVERYBODY CAN DO A LITTLE and that together we CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Grounded in our selves, our incomplete knowledge and incomplete picture of sustainable consumption, we wish to create a forum where we gather businesses that determinately work with sustainability. We want to create INSIGHT AND OVERVIEW, so that all of us can make conscious and qualified choices.
“We do not need a handful of people that do everything right. We need millions of people that do something right.“
Become an exhibitor
If you want to present and sell your sustainable products to costumers that are interested in sustainability, climate and the green transitions, you can contact us to participate in Fair Festival.
There are many good reasons to participate in Fair Festival:
- The guests are already interested in your product, because it represents a responsible and environmentally friendly production.
- The guests have direct contact with the people behind your product, they have the opportunity to ask questions and listen to the good story.
- The guests want to know more about how to consume more sustainably for the benefit of our globe.
- Teach and learn. Partake in Fair Festival After Work Chillout Saturday evening – with the opportunity to network with other exhibitors and sponsors, that have the same agenda as you.
At Fair Festival we make sure:
- Of a missive presence on social media, so that knowledge of Fair Festival travels far and wide.
- Of massive PR og advertisement presence.
- Famous cultural personalities, which through lectures, talks, debates and more will attract an audience.
Right now there is a large interest in sustainable consumption and the green transition. In a Gallup poll 8 out of 10 answer that they would like to live more sustainably and energy-efficiently than they do today. Yet only half of the Danes feel that they know how to do so.
And 4 out of 10 in the poll answer that they do not know what green transition entails.
We want to change that and you will help us spread knowledge of sustainable products.
Half of the entrance revenue is donated to 6 NGO’s which will be represented at the festival.
At Fair Festival we will serve, fruit, ice water and cake for the exhibitors.
